COMMUNITY

CENTER

We support people of all ages to reach their full potential!

For me the Community Center is like a magic box. Because you arrive at the Community Center and you change. Your way of thinking changes, your way of seeing things, your way of being with people. You meet more people, you socialize more, you aren’t afraid to get closer to people.

Build A Miracle Community Center

The Build a Miracle Community Center in El Florido, Tijuana began in a small leased room in 2008, serving about 20 kids a week the first year. In 2017, Build a Miracle built a permanent 16,500 square foot Community Center that is the heart of BAM today. It is equipped with classrooms, a sport court, study areas, an auditorium, a cafeteria, a game room, a PC lab, a counseling and youth development area, a young child and infant area, a library, a playground, and so much more! At the BAM Community Center, there are many resources, activities and educational opportunities. The BAM Community Center now serves up to 3,000 people per week - every class and program is offered free of charge.

Through the years, we have come to believe that the Community Center changes lives just as much, if not more, than the homes. With the homes, you can see the difference in people’s lives almost instantly from one day to the next. The center, on the other hand, provides a remarkable transformation that develops more gradually over time and is often quite profound. At the center we see people become self-sufficient, get educated and go to college and learn to become strong leaders. They become empowered when they realize they have an important place in the world and can use what they learn at the Community Center to serve others. It is a place where people from our homes and from the community gather to learn about being better parents and better spouses. Teens take classes that encourage them to stay in school, help others, stay off drugs and be the best they can be. It is where the community comes together, gets to know one another, develops relationships and then cares for one another.
