The Dental Program

Through the Dental Program, BAM promotes oral health and assists with the costs of dental procedures as well as routine oral care.

As our families spend most of their lives struggling to meet basic needs, dental care is oftentimes, unfortunately, one of their lowest priorities.

Thanks to a generous sponsor, we were able to create a dental program to help promote dental health and pay for many people to go to the dentist, most for the first time in their lives!

Our scholarship students also teach classes about oral health and teeth brushing to the kids at the Community Center.

As part of the Dental Program, BAM leaders help community members make dental appointments and then BAM pays for 50-100% of the appointment and treatment costs, depending on the financial needs of the particular family. Our sub-leaders spread the word in their respective communities about the program and encourage people to go to the dentist, both for routine cleanings and to receive necessary dental work.

Hello I am Abraham, I am 13 years old and I live here in Tijuana. I would like to thank the sponsors who improved my dental situation. I had problems a few months ago with a strong pain in my tooth, my cheek began to inflame and we went to the dentist. I had a very strong infection in my tooth which generated pain, inflammation, and discomfort. The dentist pierced my tooth to drain it and I was healthy in a few weeks. I thank you very much for helping us to pay for it.
