Greetings volunteer builders!
We just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to all the volunteer builders who helped make last Sunday (January 29) such a memorable day.
During a conversation with a new BAM homeowner - One thing that struck a chord was when the father in one of the shacks (now a house)
said, "You know, I was born poor, my parents were born poor, and I just assumed my kids would be poor."
It made us think - his ability to picture his kids living in a beautiful home with running water would be equivalent to our ability to picture
our kids living in a shack with a dirt floor and an outhouse - it just wouldn't occur to us.
We know that the work that you do - coming down to Tijuana to help build - changes lives because we see it time and time again.
We hope that you could see the difference you made when you were down there. You not only changed people's lives by using your hands,
donating, or telling others about the program.
You changed their lives just because you were there.
You showed them you care and that gives them hope.
Thank you for coming, thanks for making a difference, and thanks for caring.
God Bless,
Julianne and Chris
P.S. Our upcoming build days are March 4, April 22, and June 3, 2012. We hope to see you again!
