8:30 a.m. Walk across the border into Mexico where you meet buses that will transport you to/from the build site.

2:30 p.m. Group "sharing" session and wrap up

3:00 p.m. Buses depart build site for the border crossing
4:00 - 5:00 p.m. (approx) Walk across the border back into the U.S.

7:45 a.m. Arrive and park your vehicle for the day
The wait in line varies from a few minutes to more than an hour.

Make sure you have the appropriate travel documents needed to re-enter the United States.

We request a $5.00 donation from each person to help pay for bus transportation.

The bus will drop you off on the Mexican side of the border and you will walk through the pedestrian border crossing back into Otay Mesa.

Several times a year, groups of Build A Miracle volunteers head to Mexico for the day to help build new homes.

After walking across the US/Mexico border, volunteers are transported to the day's build site.
|
Usually more than 100 people participate during a build day.
|
Build sites are located in the suburbs of Tijuana.
|
These are family neighborhoods and there has never been any concern for the group's safety in the many years of our trips across the Border.

There we meet up with dozens of local Build A Miracle families and volunteers all ready to lend a hand.
